Message From Mrs Nimmo

Dear Year 6 Parents, This term students have been given one piece of music ( Ode to Joy ) to master. They will be assessed on this in week 5. I am available at lunch time in the library every Monday to help any students who require extra tuition.   Please remind your child to take their guitar or ukulele home during the week and bring it to school every Monday.  Many thanks, Pippa Nimmo

Term 4, Week 3

Hi Parents, Welcome to my first normal blog post for Term Four. It feels good to have ticked the camp and Confirmation boxes in quick succession, however, the job is nowhere near complete. Please find some important information in regards to the learning over the next couple of weeks. Quote of the Week: SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION A massive congratulations to the 12 candidates that received the Sacrament on Saturday night. It really was a beautiful service and I am sure you a super proud of your children. Another massive thank you to the prayer buddies and parents who came along on the night to show their support. Confirmation Sponsors

Below is some information for sponsors on the night. The Confirmation Card that has been handed to me already, will be given to the sponsors (by candidates) when they are escorted to your allocated seats. PLEASE PRESENT THE CANDIDATE AS THEIR SAINT NAME E.G - I PRESENT TO YOU CHRISTOPHER. Sponsors should present the candidate with their RIGHT HAND ON THE CANDIDATE'S RIGHT SHOULDER. SPONSORS ARE ONLY REQUIRED DURING THE 'ANOINTING WITH THE OIL OF CHRISM'. During this time, a teacher will guide you as to when to go up. Please read the following information: The Essential Rite of Confirmation The essential Rite of Confirmation comprises of 1. The celebrant places his hand on the head of the candidate. ( It is very important that you, your child and sponsor are at the church NO LATER THAN 5:45PM ). 2.    Your child will escort you to your allocated pew. If extended family are attending, they may have to find a seat towards the back of the church. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT SEATING IS FLEXIBLE SO IF A FAMILY DOESN'T REQUIRE THE WHOLE PEW, THERE WILL BE EXTRA SEATING AVAILABLE - WE WILL GAUGE THIS ON THE NIGHT. 3. Prayer buddies are expected to show their support on the night. They are also involved in the procession into the church so any no shows will confuse the other children. Please let me know ASAP if any prior arrangements will not allow you to be at the church from 5:45pm - approximately 7:00pm. 4. Confirmation sashes should arrive this week. 5. Bishop Gerald will visit the ch
