Parent Help Meeting



A message from Our Lady of the Cape PS

Good afternoon parents,
We will be holding a Parent Help Meeting for our production 'The Jungle Book' on Wednesday 8th August beginning at 3.05pm. We will meet in Year 6 and we expect the meeting to last for approximately half an hour.
The Production is held over two nights Thursday 13th and Friday 14th September. As we know many hands make light work and we would like to involve as many willing helpers as possible...even if you can only help for an hour or two!
We are in need of assistance in the following areas:
  • Make Up 
  • Costumes (dressing)
  • Hair
  • Supper - ideally this is a Year 5 and a Year 6 parent/s
  • Set Dressing
  • Anything
If you would like to help but are unable to make the meeting, please let Mr Jones or Mr Danaher know via email and we will add your name to the list.

Final Reminders for Tomorrow

Good afternoon, Just a couple of reminders for tomorrow... Students are to come in free dress with clothing appropriate for the beach...thongs are fine.  Please make sure your child comes with suncream already applied, packed recess and lunch, towel and a hat. All students must wear a rashie! We will arrive at the beach at 11.45am. We will have lunch when we arrive and then we will hit the activities. You are welcome to join us for any part of the day...your child permitting!! We will be departing at approximately 2.30pm to come back to school.  Reports will be handed to the students back at school at the end of the day. Students are welcome to bring their Leavers shirts and graduation books to be signed. They can bring iPads to get the last of the photos from Tuesday...they will be deleted on Monday. Term 4, Week 5

Hi Parents, I can’t believe it is already Week 5! It looks like we have some real summer weather this week, so it should be a cracker! Quote of the Week: CONFIRMATION HOME MASS The Confirmation Home Mass will start at 5:30pm tomorrow at the Gannaway’s property (835 Commonage Rd). Please bring the following with you: ·        Rugs / camping chairs etc ·        Plate of food (boys – savoury, girls – sweet) ·        BYO cool drinks / juice etc A big thank you to Alice and Ken for offering to host. Week 3 - Term 2

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to the week, it is shaping up to be a very busy one! REMINDERS Camp Notes - If your child has not returned their forms as yet, can you please send them in as soon as possible. I have additional copies if you need them. Biscuits - We are asking that parents send in two packets of biscuits with their child by Friday morning. These are given as afternoon tea on camp. Last Minute Camp Information - I will be sending out a separate post later this week with all of the important information for camp including the location and contact details. OUR LEARNING   In our Literacy time, we have been looking at the structures, features and and language conventions of persuasive texts.
