Welcome to the new St
Mary MacKillop College. We look forward to seeing your child at our Year 7 Orientation Day on Wednesday 25th
November 2015. This is an important day in your child’s transition from
primary to secondary school, when they will participate in various activities
designed to make the process a positive and welcoming experience.
Please ensure that
your child arrives at the College by 8:40am, where they will be met by Year 9 students
who will help them arrange to pick up their House shirt, hand in forms and
locate a locker for their bags.
If you wish your
child to travel to the College on one of the orange School Buses for the day,
please email Ms Kristy Banders, Senior Transport Liaison (Public Transport

AFTERNOON TEA FOR
PARENTS – 2:00pm
The afternoon tea
for parents in the College Library at 2:00pm is an excellent opportunity for
you to come and meet our Heads of Middle School and Year 7 as well as teaching,
library and canteen staff. Our Digital Learning Facilitator Ms Kerry Muste will
speak about the Laptop Program and you will hear from the P&F about their
role in the College and the Public Transport Authority regarding buses. You
will be able to collect your child at 2:45pm when the afternoon tea is
finished.
If, for any reason,
your child is not able to attend the Orientation Day, please contact Mrs Judy
Kirkham on 9752 7500 as soon as possible. If you have decided not to send your
child to our College in 2016 it is very important that you contact the College
immediately, as our Fees and Charges Policy requires one term’s written notice
for students currently enrolled.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Chris Wallace
