Week 6 Update
Good afternoon parents,
Welcome to another fantastic week of learning, the students are working very hard on their Year Books, poetry writing, maths concepts of volume, fractions and mass conversions as well as Shrek rehearsals.
Shrek - Please make sure that you have checked with your child if they have been asked to bring in any additional costume or prop items. It would be excellent if all children are in the majority of their costume each Wednesday so that they can be comfortable for the performance. Please see Gen Greaves if you have any questions about what your child may need.
Year Books - The first two pages are due for submission this week (Cover and Contents). Please make sure that your child is working on these for some part of each week to make sure that it is manageable for them.
Shoebox Appeal - This is an annual event here at OLC and we ask all students and families to support this as much as possible. The gifts are very gratefully received by the children in need.
A note will be sent this week outlining what your child is asked to bring in. The Year 4-6 students will all work together to pack as many boxes as possible with the items needed so it would be greatly appreciated if you can encourage your child to do some extra chores around the home to help with the associated cost.
Boxes are packed according to age - 2-4yrs old, 5-9 yrs old and 10-14yrs old and gender M or F.
We will allocate gender, age and item to each student and we will combine all donated items from the three classes in the boxes. Some gift ideas are:
