Week 9 Update

Good afternoon,

 Welcome to Week 9!

 It was a very busy week last week and we were all very proud of the Choir for working so hard and coming in First Place. I was very proud of the way that the students conducted themselves during our rehearsals and on the day. What a wonderful memory!
REMINDERS 

 Confirmation Enrolment Mass - Thank you to those that came along on Saturday night to support the children in their acknowledgement of their commitment to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

 Confirmation Paperwork - If you can please return the Confirmation Card, list of Sacraments and the $25 to me as soon as possible that would be great.

 Please make sure that you have begun thinking about the letter that you will write to your child, this is a wonderful chance to tell them how proud you are of them and to share special memories and love.

 If there is a parent or parents that is able to take charge and coordinate morning tea and lunch for the Confirmation Retreat I would be most grateful.

 If there is a family that would like to offer their home to celebrate the Home Mass, please let me know.

 Choir Members - Please make sure that you have given your $5 to me by the end of week. A very big thank you to those that have already done so.
UPCOMING EVENTS 

Girl Power Workshop - This will be held on Tuesday 21st June in the school hall. It is a great chance to hear some practical strategies that may be useful in helping your daughter develop strong and positive friendships.

 Tickets are $35 and are available at the door.

 Cross Country - This will be held on Thursday 23rd June. More details will follow as soon as possible.

 Year 5 Family Mass - This is on this Saturday night 25th June. It would be wonderful to see as many school families as possible attend to support this fantastic initiative. Mass 

 Grandparents Day - This will be held on Wednesday 29th June beginning at 9am and is a wonderful opportunity for the students to spend time with their grandparent. Please make sure you invite them along if you haven't already?
HOMEWORK - WEEK 9

Just a reminder that it is an expectation that all homework is completed at all times and handed in by the given date. BTN Reports are on a fortnightly cycle with the most recent report being due into Showbie today.

 Please make sure that you have checked in with your child to see how they are going with their Saint's Research Project. This is due next Wednesday 29th June - students are given time to work on it in class but there is an expectation that some will be done at home.

 Spelling homework has been reduced for this week to make this easier.

 If for any reason your child is unable to complete their homework, please send me an email or write a note in your child's diary.

Chrism Mass - Tuesday 27th March

Hi Parents, The note below is being sent home today. Please cut and fill in the permission slip and return to me by Monday 26th March. The Inter School Swimming Team will receive theirs tomorrow. Mr Jones 22 nd March, 2018 Dear Parents, RE: Chrism Mass – Tuesday 27 th March We will be travelling to Bunbury on Tuesday 27 th March to participate in the Chrism Mass that is held at the Bunbury Cathedral. Mass will begin at 11am and will conclude at approximately 12.15pm. A short tour of the Cathedral will follow. The purpose of this Mass is to consecrate the Oil of Chrism that is used during the Sacrament of Confirmation and bless the Oil of the Sick used for the Anointing of the Sick. The sign of Confirmation is the Oil of Chrism, the most sacred of the oils. During the Confirmation ceremony, a person is anointed on the forehead with Chrism. Week 3 - Term 4

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to Week 3, I hope you all enjoyed the amazing weather that was put on for us over the weekend!! REMINDERS - WEEK 3 Confirmation Home Mass - This is on next Monday 30th October and is being hosted by the Tutt family. We will begin promptly at 6pm, we ask that you arrive by 5.45pm to smooth the logistics of food and drinks etc. I am sure that Sherylee will appreciate food being pre-warmed if possible and any extra hands! Guitar - A reminder that your child needs to bring their guitar each week to their lesson with Mr Torrese on Thursday afternoon's. Their lesson runs from 2-3pm and it is very important that all students have their guitars.  Peace Posters - These are due in on Monday 30th October. I am so impressed with the work of many of the students in their interpretation of 'The Future of Peace'. This week the students will write a quote to go with their piece.
