Term 3, Week 6

Hi Parents, I feel like a broken record, but how good has the weather been lately? We have a busy back half of the term to look forward to. Quote of the Week: CONFIRMATION ENROLMENT MASS This will be held at the church this Saturday night (31 st August) at 6:00pm. All candidates and at least 1 parent are required to attend. CONFIRMATION STUDENT / PARENT WORKSHOP Just a reminder that this has been postponed until Wednesday 4 th September . All candidates and at least 1 parent are required to attend this important workshop. It will begin in the library at 5:30pm. Look forward to seeing you there. INAPPROPRIATE USE OF IPADS Just a friendly reminder that any important messages you may have for your child during school hours need to come through Fran, Kaya or Sandra in the front office. Confirmation Workshop

Hi Parents, The Confirmation Parent / Student Workshop has been rescheduled to Wednesday 4th September at 5:30pm due to Father Francis not being able to attend the original date of 28th August. It is very important that all Confirmation Candidates and at least 1 parent attend the workshop and the Confirmation Commitment Mass. The Confirmation Commitment Mass will remain on Saturday 31st August at 6:00pm.  Prayer buddies and parents are not required to attend the above events; however, you are more than welcome to attend. Please let me know if you will be attending. Prayer buddies are expected to attend the Sacrament of Confirmation on 26th October at 6:00pm to show their support for the candidates. Hi Parents, I hope you enjoyed another fantastic weekend of weather and sporting results, if you are a Wallaby and Eagles fan. Quote of the Week: MISSION MARKETS Thank you to everyone who has brought in some pre-loved prizes for the Mission Markets this Thursday. If you haven’t yet sent anything in, please do so by Wednesday so that we have time to sort out the prizes into different categories. Once again thank you for your continued support. CONFIRMATION UPDATE All the students have been busy creating a poster about their chosen Saint. This is due on Friday. We will begin to explore the connection between Baptism and Confirmation this week as well as investigate the Gifts and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. Year 6 Camp

Hi Parents, I wasn't intending on sending out a camp blog for another couple of weeks, however, I have had multiple parents kindly offering their time to attend the Year 6 Camp this year. After having discussions with Mr Lee, it has been decided that parent help will not be required this year. Please refer to the message below from Mr Lee. School Camps   We are fortunate that our staff are prepared to give up their own personal family time to provide the opportunity for our students to participate in school camps. Our year 5 camp allows parents to attend while the year 6 camp is supervised by just the staff. Having no parents on the year 6 camp helps to build resilience, independence and confidence leading into secondary school. Mrs. Meyer, Mr. Jones and Mr. Lee will be the staff attending the year 6 camp. Mission Market Stall

Hi parents, For the Year Six Mission Market Stall we will require some goodies to become prizes for our game. We would love it if the majority of these prizes are of the pre-loved variety so could you and your child please have a look around the house for anything that is in reasonable condition that fits the bill. Of course, if you would still like to buy something to add to the prize table, that is fine, but please keep costs to a minimum. Below are some examples of what to look out for: Sidewalk chalk, Crayons, Jump ropes, Balls, Hats, Frisbees, Stickers, Fancy soaps, Lotions, Jacks, Pencils, Erasers, Fancy pens, Jewellery, Play-doh, Water bottles, Lanyards, Coloured markers, Notebooks, Glitter glue, Paddleballs, Key chains, Rubber stamps, Rulers, Bookmarks, Colouring books, Lip balm, Yo-yos, Bubbles, Pencil toppers, Novelty rings, Card games (Old Maid, Go Fish).
