Week 10 - End of Term

Good morning parents,

 Please see below for a few reminders for the week as well as the homework that has been assigned.
REMINDERS

 20th Anniversary Celebrations - On Friday we gathered as a school community to remember and celebrate our school's history. It was a wonderful event and the Year 6 students led this event beautifully, I was very proud of the way that they conducted themselves. They certainly made history!

 Thank you to all of the parents that were able to come and thank you for providing a wonderful morning tea for our special guests. The students were lucky enough to 'help' with putting the food away!

 We celebrated in the afternoon by enjoying a round robin of activities with all year groups mixed together. We then had cake!




Parent Teacher Interviews - I will begin my interviews tomorrow morning. Please make sure that you know what time we are meeting. I am happy for you to choose if you would like to have your child present at the interview or if you prefer that we speak on our own. 

 Camp 2016 - A note will be sent home in the first week of Term 2 confirming those parents that have been selected to attend and outlining the costs and other important information.

 We will be joined this year by the Year 5 students on Wednesday and they will stay with us for two nights. Our activities will be run separately during the day, with some activities being reserved for the Year 6 students only.

Read a book of your choice for up to 15 minutes. Write the name of the book in your diary and have it signed by your parent.

Spelling –
Complete your LSCWC of all list words using alternate colours and complete the Phonological activity for 10 list words.

Maths –
Complete Day 1 of Unit 10 of Think Mentals on Page 31.

Mathletics - Complete assigned tasks 5-10 minutes.

Times Tables App – complete 5 minutes practise.

Other –
We have been working on a Narrative assignment in class for the past couple of weeks. Students can choose to take this home if they wish. It is not an expectation that it is finished at home.
Reading –
Read a book of your choice for up to 15 minutes. Write the name of the book in your diary and have it signed by your parent.

Good afternoon, Welcome to Week 6...I can't believe how quickly the term is getting away from us! Notes - Graduation Dinner, iMovie Night & Adventure World Thank you to those who have returned notes. Term 1, Week 9

Hi Parents and students, What a great weekend to be down south! So special to be able to witness such a unique swell direction and see the whole coastline light up. Can’t wait for the next cyclone swell in 9 years! Affirmation of the Week: Camp: I am still on the hunt for some dad volunteers for the Year 6 camp. Let me know if you are interested. Chrism Mass: Please make sure your child has brought their permission slip into me tomorrow morning. Some children have suggested that they have misplaced their note. I have said to them to have Mum or Dad write a note that they give them permission to travel by bus, to and from St Patrick’s Cathedral in Bunbury. Please refer to the ‘Chrism Mass Blog’ for any other info. Holy Week: The Year 5’s and 6’s will be presenting their part of Holy Week celebrations on Wednesday morning at 9:00am in the hall. Final Reminders for Tomorrow

Good afternoon, Just a couple of reminders for tomorrow... Students are to come in free dress with clothing appropriate for the beach...thongs are fine.  Please make sure your child comes with suncream already applied, packed recess and lunch, towel and a hat. All students must wear a rashie! We will arrive at the beach at 11.45am. We will have lunch when we arrive and then we will hit the activities. You are welcome to join us for any part of the day...your child permitting!! We will be departing at approximately 2.30pm to come back to school.  Reports will be handed to the students back at school at the end of the day. Students are welcome to bring their Leavers shirts and graduation books to be signed. They can bring iPads to get the last of the photos from Tuesday...they will be deleted on Monday.
