Week 4 Update

Good morning parents,

Apologies for the delay in posting this week...I picked up this cold that has been floating around...get well soon wishes to those of you that also have it!

A very big thank you to you all for presenting your children so well on Saturday night, they all looked amazing and engaged and participated in the mass so well. I was incredibly proud of them!

REMINDERS - WEEK 4

Confirmation Certificates & Morning Tea - this Friday at Assembly we will be presenting the students with their certificates from Confirmation - prayer buddies as well. If you can join us it would be great to see you!

We will also be having coffee and cake afterwards and we would love it if you could join us for that to celebrate such a special night.

Year 5 & 6 Girls Friendology Morning Tea - there is a slight change to this for Friday. As we are having cake in the morning I have moved the morning tea to the afternoon beginning at 1.30pm. If you can please send in a small plate with your daughter that would be most appreciated. I am sending a note home with your daughter today.

Mission Markets - this is on Tuesday 15th August and a note is being sent home with your child today. We will be doing the Popsicle Pick stall again this year. We will also be celebrating mass in the hall at 9am if you are able to join us.

I ask that each family send in two packets of wrapped lollies - mars bars, mentos etc. (no Snickers please) by Monday 14th August.

These will be used as prizes on Tuesday.

OUR WEEK

Last week was a lot of fun and the students had a great time with the preparations for Saturday night.

The students enjoyed a lovely visit with Bishop Gerard on Monday morning which gave him a chance to get to know the kids a little before Saturday night.

We had a lovely retreat day with Sue on Wednesday which gave the students a wonderful opportunity to engage with the content in a more relaxed way. They discussed a wide range of topics including the signs and symbols of Confirmation and how they see themselves, the Pentecost Story and who they are inspired by. They discussed the importance of building a church on the people and ways in which they can show the different fruits and gifts of the Spirit.

We had a chance to read some letters from the people that love and care for us which was wonderful!

We were spoiled with an amazing morning tea and lunch - thank you so much parents! A very big thank you to Alisa Allison for coordinating all of that for us and the beautiful mums that were able to help on the day.
