CONFIRMATION AND CAMP INFORMATION


Hi Parents,

Below is some very useful and important information for Confirmation and the Year Six Camp. Please ensure that you read all the information and send me an email if you require any clarification.

CONFIRMATION SASH:
If you would like to get the Confirmation embroidery professionally done by HipPocket, the cost will be $35. A form will be sent home to all the candidates that will need to be completed and returned (with the sash) to me before Friday 20th September.

CANDIDATE AND PRAYER BUDDY LETTER
This year, we are combining the Year Six Camp and the Confirmation Retreat. This means, that we are combining a couple of Confirmation rotations into our night time activities. One of these activities requires:

ALL PARENTS TO WRITE A HEARTFELT LETTER TO THEIR CHILD (CANDIDATE OR PRAYER BUDDY).

The letter will express how proud you are of your child as they take the next step in their faith journey. Prayer buddy parents might like to include how proud you are that they are supporting their peers during this time. Both parents might like to include any thoughts or advice you might have as they transition into high school etc.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ALL STUDENTS RECEIVE A LETTER ON CAMP, AS IT CAN BE VERY DISHEARTENING, NOT ONLY FOR THE CHILD BUT ALSO FOR THE ADULT THAT HAS TO TRY TO EXPLAIN WHY THEY DID NOT RECEIVE A LETTER.
PLEASE DELIVER THIS LETTER (CLEARLY MARKED) IN A SEALED ENVELOPE BY THE END OF THE TERM.

CAMP:
The Year Six Camp will take place in the first week of Term 4 (Tuesday 15th October – Friday 18th October).  This year, we are heading to Ern Halliday in Hillarys.

NO IPADS, PHONES or CAMERAS ARE PERMITTED ON CAMP.

Your child will bring home a medical form and a permission slip for you to fill out and return to me ASAP before the end of the term.

An itinerary for the camp will be uploaded to your child’s OneNote account for you to peruse with your child.

Please read through and check off your child’s essential items required for camp (One Note).

Final Reminders for Tomorrow

Good afternoon, Just a couple of reminders for tomorrow... Students are to come in free dress with clothing appropriate for the beach...thongs are fine.  Please make sure your child comes with suncream already applied, packed recess and lunch, towel and a hat. All students must wear a rashie! We will arrive at the beach at 11.45am. We will have lunch when we arrive and then we will hit the activities. You are welcome to join us for any part of the day...your child permitting!! We will be departing at approximately 2.30pm to come back to school.  Reports will be handed to the students back at school at the end of the day. Term 1, Week 9

Hi Parents and students, What a great weekend to be down south! So special to be able to witness such a unique swell direction and see the whole coastline light up. Can’t wait for the next cyclone swell in 9 years! Affirmation of the Week: Camp: I am still on the hunt for some dad volunteers for the Year 6 camp. Let me know if you are interested. Chrism Mass: Please make sure your child has brought their permission slip into me tomorrow morning. Some children have suggested that they have misplaced their note. I have said to them to have Mum or Dad write a note that they give them permission to travel by bus, to and from St Patrick’s Cathedral in Bunbury. Week 6

Good afternoon, Welcome to Week 6...I can't believe how quickly the term is getting away from us! Notes - Graduation Dinner, iMovie Night & Adventure World Thank you to those who have returned notes. If you have any to return, can you please send them in by the due date. I have placed copies of all notes sent home last week on the blog. At this stage you can't print them off directly so please see me if you need another copy. Mackillop Orientation Day - 25th November - I will put on the blog a copy of the letter (in a separate post) that was sent home by Mr Ben Horrocks a few weeks ago for your reference. For those students not attending Mackillop in 2016, please note that your child is welcome to stay home and enjoy a day working on their Year Books. If your child will be coming on the day to OLC on the 25th November, can you please advise me as soon as possible.
