Digital Copy - End of Year Excursion

Dear Parents,

RE:  Year 6 End of Year Excursion – Gravity & Xscape to the Cape - Wednesday 7th December.

To celebrate an exceptional year’s work and to farewell the Year 6 students, we will be travelling to Gravity in Bunbury and Xscape to the Cape for our end of year excursion.

The cost for this excursion will be $44.50 and is payable by the 2nd December. This amount includes entry to Gravity for 1 hour, special socks to be worn at Gravity, entry to Xscape and lunch.

I am in need of parent helpers, so please let me know if you are able to assist. If you would like to come with us, you will need to purchase your own ticket at both venues if you would like to join in the activities.

All parents are welcome to join us for any part of the day.

Children will need to be picked up from Xscape to the Cape by 4pm. There will be no bus to bring the students home as it will drop us at Xscape and then leave.

The day will run as follows:

8.30am –                  Leave OLC for Gravity Bunbury.
9.30am –                  Arrive at Gravity – listen to the safety drill.
10am – 11am –      Bounce time!
11.15am –                Board the bus to Xscape at the Cape
12pm –                      Arrive at Xscape – eat lunch (pre ordered)
12.30 – 4pm –          H2O Get Wet Experience
4pm –                        Parents to pick up from Xscape to the Cape

Students will need to come to school dressed in free dress appropriate for travelling to and from Gravity and Xscape.



Your child will need the following items for the day. Please make sure that all items are secured in a backpack/bag with your child’s name on it:
·         Bathers – worn underneath clothes to Gravity
·         Hat/Sunscreen – already applied. I will take more with me to reapply throughout the day.
·         Rashie/swim shorts
·         Thongs/Towel
·         Packed Recess – students will have lunch at Xscape which includes an ice-cream or slushie. They will not be allowed to access the canteen at Xscape or Gravity.
·         A signed copy of the Waiver form from Gravity – given to Mrs D before the excursion date – this is attached.

Term 1, Week 9

Hi Parents and students, What a great weekend to be down south! So special to be able to witness such a unique swell direction and see the whole coastline light up. Can’t wait for the next cyclone swell in 9 years! Affirmation of the Week: Camp: I am still on the hunt for some dad volunteers for the Year 6 camp. Let me know if you are interested. Chrism Mass: Please make sure your child has brought their permission slip into me tomorrow morning. Some children have suggested that they have misplaced their note. I have said to them to have Mum or Dad write a note that they give them permission to travel by bus, to and from St Patrick’s Cathedral in Bunbury. Final Reminders for Tomorrow

Good afternoon, Just a couple of reminders for tomorrow... Students are to come in free dress with clothing appropriate for the beach...thongs are fine.  Please make sure your child comes with suncream already applied, packed recess and lunch, towel and a hat. All students must wear a rashie! We will arrive at the beach at 11.45am. We will have lunch when we arrive and then we will hit the activities. You are welcome to join us for any part of the day...your child permitting!! We will be departing at approximately 2.30pm to come back to school.  Reports will be handed to the students back at school at the end of the day. Students are welcome to bring their Leavers shirts and graduation books to be signed. They can bring iPads to get the last of the photos from Tuesday...they will be deleted on Monday.
