Science

Good afternoon
This year I am lucky enough to be working with the Year 6's for science.  We have started our Biological Science unit examining mold and yeast and I am sure there have been some Blue Cheese stories!

After a quick magic lesson to discuss the Scientific Method and changing only one variable at a time, we began examining yeast, the conditions for growth and how we use it.  As part of our investigation we are making ginger beer and will need a number of bottles to brew this in.  If you have any clean, spare 1.25 litre cool drink bottles with lids, please send them in.

The photos below show the two experiments that we conducted to investigate the conditions in which yeast grows best.

We will be discussing these results and what they mean next week.
