A Few Reminders...
Good afternoon parents,
Just a few reminders for the coming weeks.
Stationery Items - Can you please take some time over the weekend to ask your child if they need any stationery items. All children need blue and red pens to work with, lead pencils, a ruler, eraser, glue stick and scissors. These items are used daily.
I personally provide items in the 'Borrowing Pot' for the children to use if they have forgotten or lost a required item. Some students are relying on these only and are not bringing or using their own items. Needless to say these items are very quickly used up or lost in the busyness of our day.
I would appreciate your support in checking in with your child if they need anything.
Shrek Costumes - As the performance dates draw closer, we will be rehearsing in the costumes every Wednesday so the children are comfortable.
A large amount of the costuming has been provided but we do ask that some characters provide parts of their own costume or prop. If you can please check with your child to see if they have been asked to provide anything specific.
We will be in costume each Wednesday so please make sure that your child has all that they need - all girls will need to wear a pair of skin or black coloured jiffy shoes. The boys generally are in their black school shoes, but check if your child has been asked to wear something different.
Please make sure that all of your child's uniform is labelled - the students share changing rooms and it is very easy to misplace a shirt or other items in the excitement.
Tickets are now available for purchase for the Wednesday and Thursday night performances, please encourage your friends and family to come along. It is going to be absolutely amazing!
The Supper Committee has organised all that is required and they will be in touch soon, if they haven't already to let you know what is required from each family! Thank you very much for your support in this!
I am looking for someone who may have some ideas about how we can dress up the front of the stage to add to the swampy feel that we have currently. Some foliage, pots etc. would be fantastic! Please let me know if you are able to help?
Year Books - The first part of this task is due next Friday. Please make sure that your child is working on these regularly to stay on top of due dates.
Confirmation - Zac and Jeremy were unable to make the Sacrament of Confirmation with us on the 7th as they were away. They will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday 11th September at 9am. We invite all students and their families to come along and support the boys in this important event!
